KOLHAPUR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRIES

Federal body of Trade, Commerce, Industry, Banking, Service Industry and Transport established on 17th May 1983 by visionary industrialist Late Shri. Shivajirao Desai. Inaugurated by Giant National Leader from Maharashtra The then Cheif Minister Of Maharashtra Hon'ble Shankarrao Chavan.

Under dynamic & visionary leadership of Shri. Shivajirao Desai, Chamber has established very good organizational setup in Trade & Industry Sector. Chamber has supported various Traders to set up their Associations and helped them to organize for betterment and development.

Chamber has played vital role in Industrial Development and Trade & Commerce Development of District.

In the year 1999 chamber got its own new office setup with all type of amenities like Conference Hall, Training Centre, Library etc. The Then Governor of Maharashtra His Excellency Dr. P. C. Alexander inaugurated new office of the chamber on 18th March 1999.

Chamber has successfully fought against various important issues like Octroi, Turnover Tax, VAT, Banking Amendment Act, Privatization of Octroi, Non-agri. Tax, Power cut & Load Shading etc.

Chamber has successfully implemented direction of Parent Organizations like FICCI, FAM, Maharashtra Chamber, Pune Chamber etc.

Chamber has organized various Trade and Industry Seminars, Conferences for providing latest information to member organizations. Chamber has taken sincere efforts to establish Trade Organizations in Rural area.

Now a day, 85 Trade & Industry Organizations are affiliated with chamber. After late Shri. Shivajirao Desai, Shri. Pradeepbhai Kapdia and Late Shri. Vasantrao Naik has worked as a President of Chamber.

Kolhapur Chamber now entered in Silver Jubilee Year. Young Businessman Shri. Anand Mane got the opportunity to work as President of Chamber in Silver Jubilee Year with a dynamic & enthusiastic Team of office bearers.

Chamber has its Representation on Maharashtra Chamber, FAM, Railway Committee, Income Tax Committee, Sales Tax (VAT) Committee, Local Traffic Committee, Telephone Advisory Committee etc.

Chamber is now taking special initiative for development work, working hard for infrastructural development projects in the district, providing special training facilities for Traders, Industrialists, Service Industry for new avenues in Global Economy.

Chamber is ready to provide all type of Assistance for Exporters, New Entrepreneurs for establishing New Industry.

Chamber has taken special initiative for I. T. Sector Development in district, which is showing very good result by positive response of I. T. Giants like Microsoft, Wipro, Infosys etc.

In the Silver Jubilee Year, We are looking for our centenary celebrations by planning for next 75 years for development and betterment of total community. We will not keep any stone unturned to achieve our targets with the help of our member organizations.
